Valentine’s Day Fire & Ice Frozen Coffee Recipe

Last Update: June 9, 2023

Like Jay-Z and Beyonce, the two stars that make this recipe work are pretty amazing on their own—but even better together. Califia Farms Concentrated Cold Brew Coffee is slow-brewed in cold water to better extract all the complex flavors without the acidity of normal drip coffee. The result is a smooth (but just as energizing) cup of joe. And Califia Farms’ unsweetened Almond Milk yields full-bodied foam when frothed—perfect for creating latte art masterpieces. (You can’t say that for all vegan creamers.)

Slightly sweet with a touch of kicky cayenne, this blended coffee drink is made for Valentine’s Day—and the recipe makes enough for two! Top off each glass with coconut whipped cream and a sprinkle of cacao powder for an extra-festive touch.

Valentine’s Day Fire & Ice Frozen Coffee Recipe

Yield: 1-2 servings
Active Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 4 hours and 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 cup Califia Farms Concentrated Cold Brew Coffee
2 tablespoons cacao powder (plus additional for garnishing)
1 tablespoon coconut sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 large pinch cayenne
1 1/2 cups Califia Farms Almond Milk, unsweetened
Coconut whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

Pour cold brew concentrate into an ice cube tray (it makes about 10 ice cubes) and freeze for at least 4 hours.

In the base of a blender, add 10 frozen coffee cubes, cacao powder, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and cayenne. Then add the almond milk. Blend for 1 to 2 minutes or until the texture is smooth and all of the ingredients are completely incorporated. Pour into 1 tall glass or divide between 2 glasses. Top with coconut whipped cream and a sprinkle of cacao powder, if desired. Serve immediately.
