It’s easy to judge those moms and dads who run out of time to whip up a healthy home cooked meal and wind up ordering a pizza for dinner.
It’s easy, that is, until the night when you’re dishing up the KFC and you realize you are that parent.
On any given day, 34.3 percent of American children will eat pizza, fried chicken, tacos, or some other dish from a fast food restaurant. That’s more than 1 in 3 kids between ages 2 and 19. And with schools serving up cafeteria lunches of hamburgers and french fries, kids’ meals outside of the drive-thru aren’t looking much better.
The data doesn’t lie—almost all of us have been guilty to caving to fast food pressure. Let’s just make a point of getting rid of this unhealthy habit from here on out.
