Think wreaths are just for Christmas? Think again. The pine-fresh decoration that graces front doors all winter might just have a place in your home year-round.
Reinvent the classic wreath by making your own out of fresh herbs. Not only does it look stunning, but it also smells incredible.
All you need is a wreath frame, floral wire, and a variety of fresh herbs. To start, completely cover the frame with a sturdy, thick-stemmed herb like rosemary, lavender, or sage. Secure bunches with bits of wire as you work. Next, add any other herbs you like or have on hand—mint, thyme, oregano, lemon verbena, parsley, and chamomile are some of our favorites.
Then hang it! Whether it’s on the door or right in the kitchen, the best part is it’s both fragrant and functional. The herbs will dry out within a week, but can be used in cooking and DIY beauty products for months. When you need a bit of rosemary or chamomile, just snip off a sprig.
